velocity of the string = frequency x wavelength

velocity of the string = 2.5 × 4

= 10 m/sec

Answer:

0.1 m/s

Explanation:

The distance between two consecutive trough or crest is known as the  wavelength of the wave which is given in the question as 4 cm.

λ = 4 cm

No of oscillation per unit time is frequency of the wave. So frequency is,

ω = 2.5

The velocity of the wave is v=(/omega) (/lambda) = 2.5×0.04 =0.1 m/s
