The distance between two places X and Y is 600 km.If it represented on a map by 40cm,what is the scale if this map for 1 cm?Tell with process.

600 km = 600000 cm

For 1 cm = 40 : 600000

= 4 : 60000

= 1 : 15000

On a map, 1 cm means 15000 cm

On a map, 1 cm means 15 km
