The distance between the points (-2,3) and (4,0) is 3\sqrt{5} unit.

Given,

Two points in 2D (-2,3) and (4,0).

To Find,

The distance between the two given points (-2,3) and (4,0).

Solution,

We can solve the given mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

The method of finding the distance between the given points is as follows -

Let A (a_{1} ,a_{2})and B (b_{1} ,b_{2}) be two points in 2D.

We know that the formula of the distance between the two points A and B is  \sqrt{(b_{1}-a_{1})^{2} + (b_{2}-a_{2})^{2} } unit.

So, the distance between the points (-2,3) and (4,0) is \sqrt{(4-(-2))^{2}+(0-3)^{2}  }

=\sqrt{(4+2)^{2} +(-3)^{2} }

= \sqrt{36+9}

=\sqrt{45}=3\sqrt{5}

Hence, the distance between the points (-2,3) and (4,0) is 3\sqrt{5} unit.
