distnce btw two points = √(x2-x1)^2 -(y2-y1)^2

5 = √(x2-3)^2 + (-1-2)^2

5= √(x2-3)^2 + (-3)^2

5= √(x2-3)^2+ 9

on squaring both sides

25 = (x2-3)^2 + 9

(x2-3)^2 = 25-9

(x2-3)^2= 16

x2-3 =√16

x2 -3 = 4

x2 = 4+3 =7

so x coordinate is 7
