the distance between two stations A and B is 160 km. a train covers first 40km at a speed of 40 km/h. how fast should he run his scooter for the remaining, so that its average speed for the entire journey is 60 km/h.​

Answer:72kmph  Explanation: Time = distance/speed           => 1 sec Remaining distance= 160-40                                  => 120 km——————-equation 2 =>Here time is x   avg. speed= total distance/total time                   60 =>160/1+x               On solving you get x=5/3  For equation 2 find speed with x=5/3 120/(5/3)= (120/5)*3= 72km/h.
