the distance between two stations is 425 km. two trains start simultaneously from station on parallel tracks to cross each other .the speed of one of them is greater than that of the Other by 5 kilometre per hour. the distance between the two trains after 3 hours of their start is 20 km
a)what was the distance of the two trains after 1 hr of their start.
b)what was the distance of the two trains after 2 hr of their start.
c) if the speed of the both distances decreased by 5 km then what will be the distance between them after 3 hours of the start

Answer:

= x+5 km/hr. Distance travelled by 1st train in 3hrs = 3x km. Distance travelled by 2nd train in 3hrs = 3(x+5)km = 3x+15km. Speed of 2nd train = 65+5 = 70km/hr.
