The distance between two towns is 250 km and is represented by a line of length 50 mm on a map. Construct a Plain Scale to read 600 km and indicate a distance of 530 km on it.

Given actual length is 1cm =100cm

And length of drawing is 5cm

RF = 5cm/100 = 0.05 or 1/20

X/50= 600/250

X=50×600/250 = 120

Y/50 = 530 /120

Y= 50×530/120=220.83
