Step-by-step explanation:

Distance = 380km

Time=4hrs

Speed=Distance

Time

=380

4

=90km/h

Therefore speed of the truck=90km/h

Now the car speed is more 5km/h than the truck speed.

Therefore, the speed of the car is =90+5=95km/h

Hope it helps you

The distance equals speed multiplied by time

  • S = Vt

Car :-

  • V = (x + 5) km/hr
  • t = 4 hr
  • S = 4(x + 5) km

Truck :-

  • V = X km/hr
  • t = 4 hr
  • S = 4x km

\rightarrow\: 4(x + 5) + 4x = 380

\rightarrow 4x + 4x = 380 - 20

\rightarrow 8x = 360

\rightarrow x = \frac{360}{8}

\rightarrow\: x = 45

\huge\therefore\: The truck's speed is 45 km/hr & the car's speed is 50 km/hr
