Answer:

a) 140m

Explanation:

The diameter of the circular track = 200 m

Radius (r) = 200/2

r = 100 m

Time is taken by an athlete to complete one round = 40 seconds.

Displacement = ??

Speed = Distance/Time

Total time athlete moves – 2 min 20 seconds

2 min 20 seconds =  2 × 60 + 20

2 min 20 seconds = 140 seconds

hope it helps bro

The distance covered by the object is given by the area covered by the velocity-time graph.

In the following question,

the distance covered by the object is given by the area of trapezium under the velocity-time graph.

The area of trapezium is given by \frac{a+b}{2}*h,

where h= height

        a = base

        b= base

In the graph, h= 8, a= 10 and  b= 20.

Area=\frac{a+b}{2} *h = \frac{10+20}{2}*8

= 120 m.

Hence, the distance covered by the object is 120m.
