Given :-

  • Area of rectangular field is 3,400m²
  • Length of rectangular field is 68m

To Find :-

  • Distance covered by a man if he goes 5 times around the field.

Solution :-

~Here, we’re given area, length of a rectangular field and we need to find the distance covered by a man if he goes 5 times around the field. To find the distance covered around the field we need to find the perimeter of the field. Firstly, we’ll find breadth of the field and then perimeter of the field. After finding the perimeter we need to multiply it with 5 to find the distance travelled by the man.

_____________

As we know that,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2( l + b )

Area of rectangle = lb

Where,

  • l is length
  • b is breadth

_____________

Finding the breadth :-

⇒ l × b = Area

➟ 68m × b = 3,400m²

➟ b = 3,400m²/68m

↬ b = 50m

Finding the perimeter :-

⇒ 2( l + b ) = Perimeter

➟ 2( 50m + 68m )

➟ 2( 118m )

➟ 2 × 118m

↬ 236m

Finding the distance travelled :-

⇒ 5( Perimeter )

➟ 5 × 236m

↬ 1180m

_____________

Hence,

  • Distance travelled by the man to go 5 times around that field is 1180m

Given:-

  • Area of rectangular field is 3,400m².
  • Length of rectangular field is 68m.

To Find:-

  • Distance covered by a man if he goes 5 times around the field.

Solution:-

According to the question,

Firstly,

  • finding the breadth.

⇢ Area = l × b

⇢ 3,400 = 68 × b

⇢ b = 3,400/68

⇢ b = 50 m

Then,

  • finding the perimeter.

⇢ Perimeter = 2(l + b)

⇢ Perimeter = 2(50 + 68)

⇢ Perimeter = 2(118)

⇢ Perimeter = 2 × 118

⇢ Perimeter = 236 m

Now,

  • finding the distance travelled.

⇢ 5(Perimeter)

⇢ 5(236)

1180 m

Hence,

  • Distance travelled by the man to go 5 times around that field is 1180 m.
