[tex](radius)^2 = (half of chord)^2 + (distance)^2 [/tex]

10^2 =  [\frac{16}{2} ]^2 + (distance)^2

100 = 8^2 + (distance)^2


100 - 64 = (distance)^2

36 = (Distance)^2


 \sqrt{36} = distance

6 cm = distance
