Here, the statement "the distance of a star from the Earth is 8.33 light minutes " means that the light from the star takes 8.33 minutes to reach Earth.

We know,

\tt \pink{The\:speed\:of\:light\:is\:3 \times 10 {}^{8}  \: metre \: per \: second}

Here,

The distance covered by it in one second is

\small\bf\red{Distance(d)= 3 \times 10 {}^{8} m}

In one minute there are 60 seconds.

Therefore, the distance of 8.33 light minutes is :-

\implies \bf{d= \: 3 \times 10 {}^{8}  \times 60}

\implies \bf \: {d= \: 1.8 \times 10 {}^{10} m}

\implies  \bf \blue {d \:  = 18000000000}

Hope it helps uh :)
