Distance from the origin =

 \sqrt{x {}^{2}   +  y {}^{2}  }  \\  = \sqrt{5 {}^{2}   +  ( - 2) {}^{2} }  \\ = \sqrt{25  + 4}  \\ = \sqrt{29}

.

Hope it helps

Answer:

√29

Step-by-step explanation:

(5,-2)(0,0)

The distance between two co-ordinate points=√ (x2-x1)²+(y2-y1)²

=√(5-0)^2+(-2-0)^2

=√5^2+(-2)^2

=(25+4)^1/2

=√29

the distance b/w (5,-2) and the origin is √29
