Whenever, coordinate is written then first number written in the bracket denotes the x-coordinate. The second number in the bracket is the y-coordinate.

As we know,

x-coordinate= distance of a point from x-axis

y-coordinate= distance of a point from y-axis

Here in this question, it is asked to answer the distance of the point P from x-axis

So, from above knowledge it is clear that distance from x-axis is 3 units.
