Please refer to the given attachment

I've used 15 minutes as 1/4th of an hour and 30 minutes ( half an hour ) as 1/2th of an hour.

Last answer's unit is Kilometres ... I have written hours by mistake.

please let me know if there's any error by mistake.

Answer:

given: s(t)=t²+t

(i) three and half hours

s(3)+S(1/2)

s(3)=3²+3/2

=9+3/2

= 21/2

s(1/2)

=(1/2)²+1/4

=1/4+1/4

=1/2

s(3)+s(1/2)

=21/2+1/2

=22/2

=11km

(ii) eight hours 15 minutes

s(8)=8²+8/2

=64+8/2

= 136/2

s(1/4)

=1/16+1×2/8×2

= 3/16

s(8)+s(1/4)= 136/2+3/16

= 68.18 hours
