The length of road roller = l

The number of rotations = 20

To find:

The distance traveled by a road roller

Solution:

Circumference of circle = 2πr

Lateral surface area covered = 2πrl

The total area covered = 20( 2πrl )

                                      = 40πrl

Hence, the distance traveled by a road roller is 40πrl.
