Given:

Distance covered by the Auto = 15km

Time taken = 20 mins

To Find:

Speed of the autorickshaw

Solution:

Time = 20 min

= 20/60 ( As one hour has 60 minutes)

= 1/3 hr

Now,

Speed = Distance/Time

= 15 × 3

= 45 km/hr

To convert km/hr to m/s, we multiply the speed by 5/18.

45 x 5/18

= 225/18

Answer: The speed in Km/h is 45 and in m/s is 225/18

GIVEN,

In 20 mins the rickshaw travels 15km

TO FIND,

speed of autorickshaw in km/h and m/s

SOLUTION,

we are given the time taken by the rickshaw is 20 mins,

let us convert this to hours,

time= \frac{20}{60} hr =\frac{1}{3} hr

the rickshaw travels 15 km in \frac{1}{3} hr

we know that,

DISTANCE = SPEEDx TIME

substituting the values, we get,

15= speed x \frac{1}{3} hr

speed= 15 x3

speed= 45KM/hr

now to convert speed from km/hr to m/s we multiply by \frac{5}{18}

hence speed in m/s = 45 x \frac{5}{18}

speed= \frac{225}{18} m/s

speed=  12.5 m/s

HENCE SPEED OF THE RICKSHAW IS 45Km/hr AND 12.3 m/s.
