Answer:0.052 m\s ±0.029 m\s

Explanation:

Given,

Distance = 5.2 ± 0.1 m.

Time = 100 ± 1 s.

Using the formula,

Speed = Distance/Time.

∴ Speed = 5.2/100

∴ Speed = 0.052 m/s.

But since, there is an error in each term, hen there must be some error in speed. Let us find that error through error analysis.

Let the error in speed be Δr.

∴ Δr/r = Δa/a + Δb/b

where a and b is the distance and time respectively at which the quantity r (I mean Speed) depends.

∴ Δr/r = 0.1/5.2 + 1/100

∴ Δr/r = 0.019 + 0.01

∴ Δr/r = 0.029 m\s
