S₂ = u*2 + (1/2)a(2)²  = 10

=> 2u + 2a = 10

=> u + a = 5    eq1

S₄ = u*4 + (1/2)a(4)²  = 28

=> 4u + 8a = 28

=> u + 2a = 7   eq 2

eq2 - eq1

=> a= 2

putting in eq 1

u = 3

it started with speed = 3 m/s

Rate of Speed change = a = 2m/s²
