Fresh water is highly unevenly distributed among different parts of the world. It is evident from the fact that of the available percentage of fresh water 69% water is found in the glaciers, 30% is ground water and only 1% is ponds, rivers located in and swamps. From the given figures it is very much evident that only a very tiny fraction of fresh water is available to the people. Fresh water distribution is highly uneven in the world because of global warming and pollution.
