the distribution of railway in India influenced by physiography economic and administrative factors in Northern plain is what level land and high population which agricultural source provide most favourable condition to lay railewaylines it is difficult to lay Railway lines on Sandy Plains of Western Rajasthan, swamps of Gujarat, and forestarea of madhyapradesh, odisha, chattisgarh, jharkhand in hills and Peninsula railway tracks makes gaps or tunnels in Himalayas there is highrelief, lesspoppulation, lack of economic oppertunities and ungavourable to lay railway lines
