division of Bengal in 1905 led to many domestic movements like boycott movement and swadeshi movement. Hundreds of meeting were held throughout the country and a massive demonstration was held at Calcutta town hall. Swadeshi movement was started in the favour of indian goods and boycott was related to not to use British goods. it was the first time when all the communities of india from children to women were united to force British government to annul the partition. Many men especially students went from shop to shop and requested the shopkeepers to not sell British goods and even washermen and other workers even refused to offer their services to people who used British goods. Gradually British government had to annul the partition in 1911.
