Answer:

The distribution of people in different classes was undoubtedly a recipe for revolution.

Explanation:

We are aware that this revolution took place due to angering of the third group of people in French society and they were angered due to the wrong laws made for them which either oppressed them or lowered their level in the society. They took measures against these laws which resulted in the revolution which gave the third group their required rights.

(Hey I am not giving the whole answer but you can just add the incidents which took place and lead to the revolution and then it will be an essay..)

Answer:

yes it was the main reason why the revolution happened in the first place

the French society was divided into three Estates during the Old Regime, consisting of clergy, nobility and common people or peasants. during that time (i don't remember the dates so u just add them) France had an empty treasury due to the long wars, when King Louis XVI assended the throne and married the austrian princess, Marie Antoinette. France was in a huge debt and the lenders who gave the state credit began to charge 10 percent interests on loans. the king had no other choice but to increase taxes. the first 2 estates enjoyed feudal privileges, which was their birthright, therefore they did not have give taxes to the state. the third estate which consisted the population of poors or half the population of France were burdened with these taxes. they had to pay taxes to the clergy, nobility and the state. they even charged them on salt and tobacco. the price of bread rose and the common people could not buy them. when the queen heard about the uproar and protests, she said that if they cannot buy bread so let them have cake. this made the crowd even angrier. subsistence crisis frequently occurred in France during the old regime.

the middle classes then put forward their ideas. philosophers like John Locke, J.J Rousseau and montesquieu inspired people to do a revolution.

then the National Assembly drafted a constitution for France and completed it in 1791 and limited the powers of the monarch. but now the people wanted more power so a new assembly called the Convention consisting of the members of the jacobin club and its leader, Robespierre. but during 1793 to 1794 his reign became terrifying. he sent people to the guillotine, whoever opposed him and were beheaded.

fed up by his methods, Robespierre was sent to be beheaded in July 1794

the Directory came into power but its was unstable

so finally Napoleon Bonaparte took power and declared himself as the emperor of France
