Answer:

Lets consider the divisor as ‘d’,remainder as ‘r’,and quotient as ‘q’…

So,Divisor(d)=20times the quotient(20xq)

d=20q…Lets keep this eq as Equation 1

Next condition is,divisor(d)=5 times the remainder(5xr)

So d=5r,We know that remainder(r) is 16.

So,The Divisor(d)=5x16=80.And From Equation 1,d=20q.

We know that d=80(calculated)

So 80=20q,80/20=q,q=4…..So the quotient=4,Divisor=80,Remainder =16…In case you are looking for the Dividend(the number that is divided),then there is a formula-

Dividend=(Divisor x Quotient)+Remainder

So Dividend =(80x4)+16=336…Hope you got your answer

Answer:

The divisor is 25 times the quotient and 5 times the remainder. If the quotient is 16, the dividend is :

A) 6400

B) 6480

C) 400

D) 480

Correct Answer:

B) 6480

Description for Correct answer:

Divided =(divisor×quotient)+ Remainder

According to question

Divisor=16×25=5×R

⇒R=15×16×25

Dividend

=[(16×25)×16]+15×16×25

=[16×25×16]+80

=6480
