Given:

A function  y = sin4x

To find:

The domain of y = sin4x is

Solution:

From given, we have,

A function y = sin 4x

y is defined ∀  x  ∈  R

Therefore, the domain of y = sin 4x is (-∞ , ∞)

A function y = sin 4x

let 4x = ∅

∴ y = sin ∅

⇒ -1 ≤ y ≤ 1  ∀  θ  ∈  R

Thus, y = sin 4x

⇒ -1 ≤ y ≤ 1  ∀  θ  ∈  R

Therefore, the range of y = sin 4x is [-1, +1]

Therefore, the domain and the range of the function y = sin 4x is (-∞ , ∞) and [-1, +1] respectively.
