Step-by-step explanation:

let the number is x

Now, 2 X + X/5=2200

let the LCM is 5

(10x+x)/5=2200

10x+x=2200 multiply 5

11x=11000

x=11000/11

x=1000

Step-by-step explanation:

let the desired number be x

therefore,

2x + x/5 = 2200

10x/5 + x/5 = 2200 (after converting LHS into like fractions)

11x/5 = 2200

11x = 2200*5

11x = 11000

x = 11000/11

x = 1000
