Explanation:

When you are driving along on the road and you see a ‘wall’ ( more likely safety barricades) and you've been say texting, you look back on the road and you notice it but it's too late to slow down smoothly. You instinctively brake hard and when that's not enough you swerve to the side of the road with the foot still on the brakes. This response is best because lower the speed, the lesser the possibility of causing damage to your car, hurt to yourself and other road users.

Turning sharply without any attempt to use brakes is never recommended. You are most likely to flip or slide away and hit a lamp post another car or worse, people.

When driver will make a circular turn then force for centripetal acceleration will be given by friction which is F

f=mv²/d

But if he applies break then according to 3rd equation of motion v²-u²=2ad

Putting v=0 we get a=v²/2d and

force required by friction will be F

f =mv²/2d.

It means when he will apply break he will need half fricional force than taking a turn. Hence driver should apply break than taking a circular turn.
