The first city to be exacavated in India was Harappa.

Indus civilization flourished in the year 2500BC. It is also called as Indus Saraswati Civilization as the settlements were found along the Saraswati river (80%) and Indus river(20%).

Indus Valley Civilization was spread over Sindh (Now Pakistan), Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, UP West, Northern Maharashtra, Rajasthan.

The people in the Harappan civilization used the Dravidian language. Wheat & Barley were the main crops.
