Archaeologist Leonard Wooley, in 1925, discovered the world's oldest museum which was built around 2,500 years back.

During excavation of a Babylonian palace, he came across a collection of artifacts which were from different times and places, and yet they were neatly labeled and organized.

The palace where the oldest museum of world is found belonged to Babylonian Princess Ennigaldi. The museum had collectables and artifacts from various time periods and were kept in the place like someone had messed up with them, but later on when Wooley looked carefully at the place he got to know that it was a museum.
