Answer:

the wnee r will be 40%

let's say rakesh earns 100rs

then naturally 100 will be 100% and (100-40) 60% of it will be suresh ka earning which makes suresh earn rs 60 so 60 is 40% less than 100

Answer:

Earning of Suresh is 28.57% less than the earning of Rakesh.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,The earning of Rakesh is 40 percent = 40\%

more than the earning of Suresh.

Let earning of Suresh be x rupees.

So earning of Rakesh 40% more than the Suresh age = x \times \frac{100 + 40}{100} = x \times \frac{140}{10} = \frac{7x}{5} Rupees.

Earning of Rakesh is \frac{7x}{5} rupees.

Now question is how much percent the earning of Suresh is less than the earning of Rakesh.

Here Rakesh earning is main.

So Rakesh earning is 100%.

 \frac{7x}{5} rupees means 100%

By unitary method,

1 rupees means \frac{100}{ \frac{7x}{5} } \% = \frac{500}{7x} \%

and x rupees means \frac{500}{7x} \times x = \frac{500}{7} = 71.43\%

So,(100 - 71.43)\% = 28.57\% earning of Suresh is less than the earning of Rakesh.
