Answer:

The earth has enough resources for the need of the people but not for the greed .

Resources  are vital for the development but human beings are using the in a irrational manner. Resources are pre -requisite for the future of a country. In the contrary some people are using it  without any care.

In the past resources were considered as  free gift from the nature that's why humans used it in such a way that it had been a reason for the following problems.

  •  Global depletion of resources.
  • Accumulation of resources in a few hands have divided the country to haves and have nots
  • It is a reason for global warming , and other environmental issues.

Therefore this matter as an important issue for thinkers ib the past. For example Gandhiji was very apt in expressing his concern. In his words 'there is enough for everybody's need and not for anybody's greed'.He was against mass production and wanted to replace it with production by masses.

Answer:

the above statement is completely relevant to the discussion of development and describes how development and resources go hand in hand. for the sustainability of development, the maintenance of resources is also crucial. If the resources continue to be exploited by some greedy individuals, then the future of the world becomes questionable. The statement clearly states that if judiciously used, the earth has enough resources to satisfy our needs and keep our progress running, but an excessive use of them can halt the development and bring shortages.
