The earth is acted upon by the gravitation of the sun even though it does not fall into it. Why?​

The Gravitational force of the sun provides the necessary centripital force to keep the earth in its orbit... Thus, these force balance each other at after every instant so the earth remains in its orbit without either falling into the sun or going away tangential to its orbit

Earth does not fall into Sun because earth keeps revolving around Sun. This creates a centripetal force

that pulls earth away from the Sun. When this force is equal the gravitational attraction, earth becomes stable.

That is, it never falls into Sun, nor she leaves the Sun.
