The earth is round/ spherical in shape. But when you look around it appears to be flat . Why?

Suppose a circle, if you look at a small part of it,it would appear to be like a straight line.
Consider a sphere,small portion of it would appear to be like a plane surface.
Same is the thing with earth. When you look around you can only look around 1/millionth part of earth's circumference. And that is too small. That is why it appears to be flat.
