The earth's magnetic field at a given point is 0.5 x 10^-5 Wb/m2. This field is to be annulled by magnetic induction at the centre of a circular loop of radius 5 cm. The current reqired to be flown in the loop is nearly ------ A.

# Answer- 0.4A

# Explaination-

Consider a loop of radius 5cm carrying currem I. Magnetic induction at center of circular conducting loop is given by

B=µ.n.I/2r

Here,

n=1

r=5cm=0.05m

µ=4π×10^-7

Also magnetic induction of conducting loop annulled magnetic field of earth at that point.

Hence B=0.5×10^-5 Wb/sq.m

Putting all these values,

0.5×10^-5=I×[4π×10^-7 ×1/(2×0.05)]

I=0.5×10^-5 ×0.1/(4π×10^-7)

I=5/4π

I=0.397A

Approx I=0.4A.
