It is true that Earth shows combined motion.

Earth's motion is a combined motion of the rotation of the Earth on its axis, the motion of the Earth around the Sun, the Sun's orbit about the center of the galaxy, and the motion of the whole galaxy.

In one day i.e, in 24 hours, the Earth's rotation covers a distance equal to the circumference of the Earth, about 24,000 miles at a speed of about 0.5 km/s.

The Earth moves at about 30 km/s in its orbit around the Sun which makes it complete 1 revolution around the sun in 1 year i.e, 365 days.

The above statement is true .

The earth also rotate on it’s axis . It moves  also around the sun . The earth rotation decides the day and night so in 24 hour the earth cover the distance which is actually equal it’s circumference this is why a day is made of 24 hour because earth spin in it's axis once in this time. The earth also moves around the fixed orbit around the sun once complete the one revolution this makes 365 days or a year. So the earth rotation around sun decides the year. So earth spin on it’s axis and also around the sun in orbit.
