it is- 1.) almost all of elements have atomic mass as double of atomic number. so, u should double th atomic number.
2.) other numbers you should remember specially which would more or less than double of its atomic number

Explanation:

There's no need to learn the atomic masses of each and every elements.

  • You have to know the atomic masses of first 20 elements, some transition metals, gr 18 elements and some elements like uranium, thorium etc.
  • The atomic mass is double the atomic number of an element. But it is not applicable for all the elements in the periodic table.
  • The atomic masses of elements like He, Li, C, N, O, Ne, Si, S, Cl, Ca are double the atomic number.
  • The atomic masses of elements like Be, B, F, Na, Mg, Al, P, Ar and K are not double the atomic number.
  • For these elements just double the atomic number and add 1.

All The Very Best and Good Luck :)
