The Western Ghats meet the Eastern Ghats at the Nilgiri mountains in northwestern Tamil Nadu. The Nilgiris connect the Biligiriranga Hills in southeastern Karnataka with the Shevaroys and Tirumala hills.

Answer:

the Nilgiri Hills

Explanation:

The Western Ghats & the Eastern Ghats are joined by a series of mountain/hill ranges lying more or less, along the boundary of Karnataka & Tamil Nadu. From west to east these are: the Nilgiris(Blue Mountains)-Biligiriranga hills to Male Mahadeshwar hills to the north-east & Shevroy hills to the south-east. These are not continuous ranges & there are small gaps, river Kaveri flows through one of such gaps.

If one considers the Eastern Ghats range further south till Madurai, then the Palani hills is the link between the South-Western Ghats & the Eastern Ghats.
