Quesion :

The edge of a cube is 20cm . how many small cubes of 5cm edge can be formed from this cube

\huge{\mathfrak{\blue{\underline{Answer}}}}

✝ First , the volume of the large cube of edge 20cm

 = (edge) {}^{3}  \\  = (20cm) {}^{3}  \\  = 8000cm {}^{3}

✝ Now Volume of small cube of edge 5cm :

 = (edge) {}^{3}  \\  = (5cm) {}^{3}  \\  = 125cm {}^{3}

✝ Number of cubes of edge 5cm that can be formed from the cube of edge 20cm :

= Volume of cube of edge 20cm/Volume of cube of edge 5cm

 =  \frac{8000cm {}^{3} }{125cm {}^{3} }  \\

\huge{\implies{\mathcal{\blue{\underline{64cubes}}}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the no. of cubes be x.

Then,Volume of big cube=Volume of each small cube×no.of cubes

=(20)^3=(5)^3 × x

=8,000=125 × x

=8,000÷125=x

=64=x

so no. of cubes=64.
