Hey user,
here is your answer...
___________________________________

Edge of cube = 7cm (a)

Total Surface area =?

=6 (a^2)

=6 x (7^2)

=6 x 49

=294

Hence, the Total Surface Area is 294cm^2
___________________________________

Edge of the cube= 7cm (a)

Lateral Surface Area=?

=4 (a^2)

=4 x (7^2)

=4 x 49

=196

Hence, the Lateral Surface Area is 196^2

⬛ Surface area of a cube
-------------------------------------

In a cube,
l = b = h ( in which 'l' is the "length", 'b' is the "breadth" and 'h' is the "height" )

Total surface area of a cube
= 2 ( l × l × l × l × l × l ) sq. units
= 2 ( l² × l² × l² ) sq. units
= ( 2 × 3 l² ) sq. units
= 6 l² sq. units

Lateral surface area of a cube
= 2 × ( l × l × l × l ) sq. units
= 2 ( l² × l² ) sq. units
= 2 × 2 l² sq. units
= 4 l² sq. units

⭐Total surface area of a cube = 6 l²

⭐Lateral surface area of a cube = 4 l²

Q. The edge of the cube is 7 cm find its total surface area and lateral surface area.

Solution :

Total surface area = 6 l² sq. units
= 6 × 7²
= 6 × 49
= 294

Lateral surface area = 4 l² sq. units
= 4 × 7²
= 4 × 49
= 196

Hence,
Total surface area of cube = 294 cm²
Lateral surface area of cube = 196 cm²
