Jewelry and ornaments should not be sprayed with perfumes and other sprays.
These sprays can cause tarnish over the jewelry made up of silver. which can be removed by proper treatment
If perfume is applied on gold jewelry or pearls then these sprays can make the color of jewelry faint or washed away
If this spray is applied on ornaments made up of metal than the perfume can cause rusting in the metal

Synthetic chemicals and aromatic oils from perfumes can discolor pearls.
The oils and chemicals can also tarnish silver jewelry or silver-plated jewelry.
It can also damage precious stones and gems, diamonds etc.
However, gold is known to be impervious to perfume and its chemicals.
It is advised to dry off the perfume 10 minutes before wearing jewelry.
