The maximum efficiency is 100% or 1 of a Carnot engine.
It is possible if T2( temperature of sink) or Q2( heat released by sink) is O.
That is it says that no heat is liberated and no temperature is rised after some external work is done.
It is against the second law of thermodynamics, which says " No process is possible is possible whose sole result is absorption of heat ( from source) and complete conversion of it into work.'
it says that some heat is liberated when work is done.
so the efficiency can never be 100% or 1
