Swami Sahajanad Saraswati was the elected president of All India Kisan Sabha at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh in 1944.

It was the eight conference of All India Kisan Sabha, which was formed in 1936. Swami Sahajanad fist started the Kisan Sabha Movement in Bihar. He was instrumental in forming All India Kisan Sabha in 1936 and became its first President.

In 1944, Kisan Sabha got started in the Kalyan, Shahapur, and Murbad of Thane district.

During the eighth conference at Vijayawada in Andhra which was held in the year 1944, Shamrao was elected as the AIKS treasurer.
