The election of the president of India is explained in the article 52 and article 59 of the constitution

Explanation:

Union executive official is the President of India according to article 52. Decision-making power of the Indian Union is in the control of President of India.  President should not be a member of any house of the legislature and he must not possess any office which gains him monetary selfish profit.

President is designated for duration of five years and he is also entitled for re-election as per the statutory law of Article 56 and 57. But he can be denunciated if he violates any statutory laws laid down as per the constitution.  

A president should be the civilian of India and who is appropriate to be the member of Loksabha. He must not hold any office privately for monetary gains.
