Given ,

  • Charge on a non conducting solid sphere (q) = 10 c
  • Radius of non conducting solid sphere (R) = 1 cm

We know that ,

For outside point the electric field due to solid sphere or solid non conducting is given by

  \sf \large\fbox{E =  \frac{k \times q}{ {(r)}^{2} } }

Where ,

r = the distance between the point from the centre of sphere

Thus ,

 \sf \hookrightarrow E =  \frac{9 \times  {(10)}^{9}  \times 10}{ {(2 \times  {(10)}^{ - 2}) }^{2} }  \\  \\  \sf \hookrightarrow  E = \frac{9 \times  {(10)}^{10} }{4 \times  {(10)}^{ - 4} }  \\  \\ \sf \hookrightarrow  E = 2.25 \times  {(10)}^{14} \:  \:  \: n/c  \:  \: or  \:  \: v/m

Hence , the electric field is 2.25 × (10)^14 n/c or v/m
