They electrolyte should be a compound solution of the anode metal. As the anode metal is not given in the question....please specify it.

here's your answer,
in the electroplating process of an iron key,the electrolyte to be used should contain the ions of the metals to be electroplated on iron(Fe)
for eg: nickel is to be electroplated on iron then aqueous soln. of NiSO4 can be
used.Similarly, if silver is to be electroplated then, aqueous soln. of sodium argentocyanide can be used.
