The electronegativity difference between oxygen and hydrogen(in alcohol) is more than the electronegativity difference between Carbon and oxygen(in aldehyde) then why question in the pic says that highest polarity is for aldehyde?

Answer: The electronegativity series is as follows:

F>O>N>Cl≈Br>I>C>H

I think its because aldehyde is in resonance if you open the structure of (-CHO) then its resonance stablised as compared to alcohol(-OH) is not resonance stablised.

Aldehyde (-CHO) has three elements as compared to alcohols (-OH) have two elements.
