In an element at it's base form(with no charge)(neutral) the number of electrons and protons are equal.

Here, the element is short of 2 electrons, and it's sum of electrons is 2+8+14= 24

Thus, the number odf electrons in neutral form= number of protons = 24+2=26.

Mass of an element = Number of Protons + number of neutrons = 56.

Thus, number of neutron= 56-26= 30.
