Element (A) is oxygen

Element (B) is sodium

(i) They will form a Ionic bond

(ii) The melting point of sodium oxide(Na2O) is 1,132° C and the boiling point is 1,950° C

(iii) Oxygen element will form an anion as it is a nonmetal whereas sodium is a metal.
