Given:-

  • E.C of X = 2,4 which is Carbon
  • E.C of Y = 2,7 which is Fluorine
  • E.C of Z = 2,1 which is lithium

Solution:-

  • Y and Z i.e lithium n fluorine will form ionic bond which will be ( LiN )
  • X or carbon will form covalent bond

Answer:

X = 2,4

X has 4 valence electrons , so it will share them to form a bond ( X is carbon and will form covalent bond )

Y = 2,7

Y has 7 electrons and it will take 2 electrons to complete octet ( Y is Fluorine and forms ionic bond )

Z = 2,1

Z will give it's only electron to form duplet

( Z is Lithium and forms ionic bond )

now , Y and Z form ionic bond

valency of Y = 2 , Z = 1

Formula 》( note Z is metal so write that first )

z 2y

ok

hope it helps

write z and y in capital as brainly didn't allow me to do so
