1. electronic configuration of Be is 4S2 , Mg is 12S2, Ca is 20S2.

2. valency of Be is 2, Mg is 2, Ca is 2.

3. Ca will be the most reactive, as it is placed at the top in the activity series.

1) Be-4=2,2

Mg-12=2,8,2

Ca-20=2,8,8,2

2)Valency:

Be=2,Mg=2 and Ca=2

3)As in reactivity series Calcium(Ca) is

placed above Mg and Be. Thus it is most

reactive.
